I have to fly to sunny Buffalo, NY tomorrow for work, which means I only had one day this weekend to get out and take photos. Luckily, it was a nice day. Partly sunny and 19 degrees. With the lack of wind, it felt warmer than what it really was. I headed back to Eagle Creek Park this morning to try and get some more shots. I really wanted to focus on the birds that I don't see in my yard or that are too shy here to photography. This meant I was mainly looking for things that do not comprise the common "woodland gang" of: chickadees, nuthatches, titmice, and woodpeckers. When I arrived at the park, I thought it would be busy. There was hardly anyone there, and, at times, I felt like I had the place to myself. On the other hand, no one had topped up the seed piles. The birds were quick to come in once I got some seed down. From there, it was just a matter of getting some shooting in.
Thanks for reading,
Mike
