This is really more about falling short than anything spectacular. It was a nice weekend for the most part. The weather is finally cold, but the sun was out. The wind was manageable for the mornings; so, all-in-all, it's hard to complain.
On the other hand, I did head out on Saturday and failed to take a photo of anything. It happens. I did see my FOS Fox Sparrow. I also cracked the bumper on my car.... We'll mark this day as a loss.
Sunday was better, but I tried something different. I was trying to shoot in manual mode and use the setting to balance for shooting in the sky vs. against the field. I did not do a good job of staying on top of this as the morning progressed. At least I got some shots. We'll mark this as a win - even if everything did not go as hoped.
I've also picked up the Nik filters and have been experimenting with them a bit. I think the Brilliance/Warmth filter works a bit better than the LR controls.
